Framing of Culture War Issues

This project, which ran from September 2018 to May 2019 explored politicians’ framing of culture war issues (e.g. abortion) while campaigning. We investigated both transcriptions of presidential stump speeches ranging from 1952 to 2016 and House of Representative campaign websites from 2008 to 2018.

My research team and I presented our findings at St. Olaf Honors day 2019 and the 2019 Winchell Undergraduate Research Symposium in White Bear Lake, MN. Additionally, I presented at JSM 2019 in Denver, CO. Here are my slides and poster from my JSM presentation.
