Hello, World!

Hello, my name is Jack Wolf and this is my first blog post! This blog’s goals will likely change over the years to come, but at this moment I envision that this website will:

  • showcase some of my projects and research
  • serve as a platform to communicate about statistics and data science (possibly through events such as tidytuesday)
  • give me valuable experience writing

At the moment, I am running this website through Blogdown and Hugo, using the Academic theme.

About Me

I am currently a fourth-year student at St. Olaf College studying math and statistics. Next year, I plan (and hope) to continue my education in a (bio)statistics Ph.D. program. One of my passions is statistics education. I hope to eventually find a role where I can teach and mentor students while developing tools to encourage statistical learning.

Aside from statistics, I spend a lot of time playing and listening to music. I am primarily a saxophonist with passable piano skills. Currently, I am proud to play the baritone saxophone in both The St. Olaf Band and St. Olaf’s Jazz I.
